02 - TATTOONIE
Well it's Friday again, so it's time to post.. Even though it got a little late to do this today, exams are ahead so sometimes things come before others.. But I still manage to do this activity. Which I have decided I am going to spend more time at the comments, or else I won't be able to go very far.. So I'll buy a notebook and on Monday I'll pick a subject and start writing ideas around it. This way it's going to be more over-thought.
Again I have decided to write about a website that I discovered with Instagram app. This time though it's about tattoos, actually temporary tattoos. It's this magnificent web Tattoonie! It's a site about temporary tattoos, but they aren't those typical chips bags.. -Also they are printed with Soy-Based Inks-. And some of the tattoonies are made by very well-known illustrators like Lyona.. Their design is very accurate and shows lots of details. Of their new stuff I'm in love with a design of the illustrator Eleanor Davis -it shows two people dancing-:
The thing about all this temporary tattoos is that they only cost two euros and the delivery is just half of the price of one tattoonie. Until now I thought I might like to get one, just because they are temporary and to give it a try, but this last design has conquered my heart. Such a simple thing like two persons dancing with notes around them and a turntable in the middle. It gives this magnific idea that this little things are the only ones that are necessary to be in complete harmony. I guess it's also the faces of the people, the woman is able to express peacefulness while the man expresses curiosity and happiness.
Even I haven't had the turntable in front of me I have been able to feel like this lately, I guess this is an important part of why I'm in love with this design. Also though they have magnific designs that aren't this new and they are also amazing. Their website shows sections that are very clear, I specially have looked around the link that talks about their artists where you can search about more information and other illustrations of them. And they also allow you to get their designs into t-shirts or phone cases.. Also in some designs I have seen their reproduction on mugs!! This is a great example of an original way to show art, they are little samples of art that we can easily find in our society.
-This seems like a very often thing I keep saying, but really, we just have to open our eyes to see that ART is all around-.
